Join Colonial Players on July 20th and 21st for our biennial Promising Playwright Weekend! Come out and share in a contest that has been a part of the Colonial Players’ tradition since 1973! We are thrilled to announce the winner of the 2013 Promising Playwright Competition: John Fiorillo of Chatham, NY with his play, Dancing Backwards! Mr. Fiorillo’s play was chosen the winner from over 200 entries received! The weekend will include a Happy Hour at Harry Browne’s for all Colonial Players members and a staged reading of the play (free and open to the public) followed by discussions and a reception. CP members are encouraged to come out Saturday evening, July 20th at 5 p.m. to meet the author at Harry Browne’s in Annapolis, and the public is invited to join us Sunday, July 21st at 1 p.m. for the staged reading and reception!
